Is bad that I am waiting for a book by Trudy Stiles that I just don’t like? I mean it has yet to happen but I feel like her and I live in perpetual “honeymoon” phase…haha. But then I have remind myself that we may just be cool like that because Trudy is cool. She puts her all and some extra in her books and that’s what makes me love them. Epic Lies was no exception. ***** DAX ANDERSON is Epic Fails drummer. He lives to protect the ones he cares about. He keeps his feelings close to his chest with only Alex, his brother through love, knowing his hurt. He went through a very traumatic experience as a teenager and it has changed him forever. He falls hard and sometimes too fast but the one thing he cannot deal with, at all, is LIES. GISELLE ANDREWS is the sweet, […]

DNF @ 55% You know that feeling when you start watching a movie but it’s already 30 minutes into it? You’re sort of lost about the storyline but you figure you can at least try to figure out the some of basic plot points and keep barreling through it…… Yeah, that’s basically how I feel about this book. Granted I know this is book 11 in the series but it’s billed as a standalone. I quickly realized I should have at least read the previous novel. Out of the 55% that I read, I didn’t hate it this novel but I didn’t exactly love it. The story starts of quickly and we’re (re?) introduced to Stone and Lily/Misty/Sweet Pea. Stone is a hacker ex-con, who’s working with the FBI. Lily is a key witness to a brutal crime and she’s been on the run for nearly a decade. The dangers […]

“She’s going to be the most complicated play of my life, but the most worthwhile if I can pull it off.” I don’t know where to start with this review for First and Goal because my mind is still living in this fictional world (I just wanted to climb inside this book and leave reality behind) and reeling from the heartstopping ending (I will be stalking the author like crazy for the next book!)!! I can’t believe this is the authors debut novel because it is absolutely written like a seasoned pro., it consumed me completely (mind, heart, and soul), it dominated my mind even when I wasn’t reading (didn’t want to do anything but read this book), I wanted to read, read, read, but at the same time didn’t want it to end…gah, LOVED it so much! “Step one: start addressing her as my girl until it sinks in […]

I admit I haven’t read the last few books in this series. Like most, I was never a big fan of Nan, but damn it I was curious to read her story. I knew that I would probably never love Nan but I was at least hoping I could learn to like or understand her. Maybe I went into this story with too many expectations but I am beyond disappointed in this book. Nan’s story was just over the top, soap opera – style drama. There was very little depth to the storyline and at times it was simply unbelievable. This story was supposed to be a romance and yet I saw little to no romance at all. Like none. I was waiting to have some sweet words and romantic gestures. Maybe some actual love making or getting to know one another on a deep emotional level but nooooo….. This […]
