AFTER ALL hits all the requirements for the PERFECT SUMMER ROMANCE

Fun, light & sexy as sin, this STANDALONE contemporary romance from the NYT and USA Today bestselling author of The Pact and Before I Ever Met You, will make you laugh, blush and swoon your heart out.

Emmett Hill is the perfect gentleman.

At least that's what his PR team wants the world to think.

Tall, handsome, and wickedly charming, Emmett is in the midst of a career comeback, having landed the role of a villain in a popular TV show. The only problem is, Emmett has come a long way from the "nice guy" characters he used to play and his old squeaky clean image is quickly being tarnished by bar fights, womanizing and bad boy behaviour. Considering he's two years shy of forty, it's an act he needs to drop. And fast.

Enter Alyssa Martin.

At twenty-eight, Alyssa is tired and ready for a change. Her job as office manager has grown stagnant and unfulfilling, while she's become continuously frustrated with Vancouver's lackluster dating scene, always searching for Mr. Right in a city of Mr. Wrongs.

When Emmett and Alyssa's paths cross at a mutual friend's wedding, their chemistry is off-the-charts hot, culminating in a steamy one-night stand.

What neither expected was for the media catch wind of their coupling - and run with it.

Now Emmett has to convince Alyssa to date him for the sake of his image. Her curvy, cute and "normal" persona is just the ticket to smoothing out his reputation, while Emmett provides Alyssa with the excitement and change her life has been lacking.

The only problem is, the two fight like cats and dogs outside of the bedroom.

And considering their arrangement is just for show, they shouldn't be in the bedroom with each other anyway.

Try telling them that.

Note: After All is a spinoff of Before I Ever Met You, however it is a complete standalone novel. You do not need to read Before I Ever Met You to enjoy After All as it follows different characters.

“People take chances and get their hearts broken and break up. It’s the chance every single one of us have to take if we ever really want to get anywhere.”

First…..LOOK I AM WRITING A WHOLE REVIEW. This is a legit miracle people. It has been a while since I’ve read anything, much less a romance novel. After All is only the second book that I’ve finished in 3+ months. (That’s just tragic!)

Now I’ll be upfront,  I liked After All, but I didn’t love it. It was was a quick, easy read, and it had a ton of steam to it. I dug all the cuteness of the story, but it lacked some believability. I’m sure there are many faux relationships in Hollywood, but it didn’t seem as if Emmett was THAT famous to warrant this type of scheme to boost his imagine. *shrugs* Maybe it was just me! Anywho, I never got down with that portion of the story, but I trudged along. At times the story lagged a bit and that caused me to  skim from time to time.

Now onto the good!

What I enjoyed the most about this story was the characters. Alyssa and Emmett were actually fun characters. Emmett was a cool dude with a shitty ubriging. He was sexy actor, making his return to TV fame. He exuded confidence and he had that dirty mouth of his (ok I found some of his lies cheesy but whatevs). He was a nice guy, he liked to have fun, and he was the sweet to Alyssa’s prickly demeanor. He even had a slight vulnerability to his personality. Who doesn’t like that?!

Alyssa, was your standard Halle heroine. She was ballsy, tenacious, fun, and she loved to give Emmett a hard time. She had her own relationship hang ups but there was something that worked with her and Emmett. They were opossoites in many ways but she understood him. The more they got to know about one another, the more the understood each other. I liked their dynamic.

I love a gentleman as much as the next girl, but damn it, Emmett sure has a knack for making me appreciate a scoundrel.

If you need a quick and easy read than this probably for you. Plus the ending was super cute. I am curious about Will and Jackie, (Alyssa and Emmett’s best friend from the prior novel) so I’m definitely going to go back to read their story!
