DEE
I've always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real me. I’m content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn’t need a man.

But the truth is I’m just as broken as the rest of you. I’m terrified that all it will take is one person to make all my carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. So I guard my heart with everything I have. Determined to never let anyone get close enough to hurt me again.

All is perfect until HE walks into my life. No… he doesn’t just walk. He struts his good-looking, sex-oozing self right into my space and demands that I see HIM. Making me want what I know I can’t have.

So I did the only thing I know how to do.
I run.
But he just won't let me go.

BECK
The second I see her, I know she will be mine. I see past the gorgeous smiles and heart-stopping laughter. I see HER. She doesn’t want me to know her secrets or the past that haunts her, but I make it my mission to find out.

To make her mine.

She can run all she wants, but it will never be far enough to stop me from coming after her.
She’s it for me and she knows it.
She’s just too scared to admit it.

REVIEW

Even though technically this book could be read as a standalone I do not recommend it. The men of Corps Security should be read in order: Axel,Cage,Beck.

Beck goes back and picks up with the story from Dee and Beck’s point of view from the start of Axel. There is not a lot of retelling of the same story but enough that if you hadn’t read Axel and then Cage you get an idea of what happened but you get it from Dee and Beck’s viewpoint. I still recommend reading each book.

Dee is a super hot mess all through this book. Yet for once I don’t want to slap the chick who is a hot mess. Harper does a superb job of writing her in a way that you feel for her and understand where she is coming from. Beck is just all kinds of sexy hot Alpha male. The man also has some major patience.

All your favorite characters show up in the is story Axel, Cage, Maddox, and Coop. Izzy and Melissa too oh and I can’t forget Sway and Emmy.

The back story here is one of intrigue and excitement. You will be left breathless and Im just giving fair warning your heart will be ripped out. Not just broken but literally ripped out. Have tissues on hand they will be needed. I was ugly sobbing so bad that the following conversation took place with my 14 yo coming out of my gmas office:

Son: Mom are you okay?

Me: ***Ugly sobbing wave him away***

Son: Mom is everything okay?

Me: ***still ugly sobbing and waving him away***

Son: Mom is this over a book? (as he picks up my kindle)

Me: ***still ugly sobbing, grabs kindle, nodding and waving him off again***

Son: Weirdo…all upset over a book.

So I’m warning you but don’t hate on Harper as I know readers are prone to do. I think this book was beautifully written and each part of it is crucial to the story. It makes the book everything that makes it rock. As I write this review it’s been 2 days since I read the book and the memory of the scene is still seared into my brain and cause my heart to clench.

Yes I get a little attached to my book characters. But it’s all good. Do not hesitate this book is worth every penny you will pay to buy it.

About Harper Sloan

Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed ‘Estrogen Ocean’, much to her husbands chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero–the super alpha kind!

Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn’t take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
