Bree ‘Breeze’ Delany never imagined her life could sink so deep. That such intense pain could take up residence in her heart and shred her soul to pieces. And all it had taken was one little word to drag Bree to the depths of this despair, cancer.
It took just one person to pull Bree from the darkness, her best friend Harper Somerville. Determined to show his Breeze the beauty in life no matter how short or long it is, Harper takes Bree on the road trip of a life time.
Not only does Harper remind Bree how exciting and beautiful life is, but he also shows her a passion and love that she has only read about in her naughty romance novels.
Screw happily ever afters, perhaps life was meant to be lived with happily ever nows…
Breeze of Life is an emotionally invested book. It is a heart pulling story of sickness, life, love, and overcoming obstacles. Breeze is on the road to recovery, but she has to learn to live again. To assist her on this task is Harper, her hero. Harper and Breeze are childhood friends, and when he hears of Breeze trying to overcome her medical condition on her own, he sweeps in to save and support her. In the process Breeze discovers life is worth living to the fullest as long as Harper is there by her side.
I want to tell you before I get into my review of this amazing book. I do not have a system to picking the books to read and/or review. I randomly pick my books. This way I can give an honest opinion instead of just reviewing the same old books. With that said, I would have never chosen this book. It has serious emotional content and I prefer stories that are unrealistic; it is my reason for reading. Reading gives me the opportunity to escape real life situations but I do not regret reading this story… not one bit. I have not read a book of this type before.
This book was written exquisitely and with great care. Breeze of Life takes you through one of the most emotional rides I can think of. The approach to the subject in this book was inspiring, and gives you the in-depth view of issues a person has to face during a battle with a life altering sickness. The love story in this book was beautiful and inspiring…to say the least. It showed how people can get through huge life problems when love is on their side. Personally I had a box of tissue with me at all times during reading. Kirsty Dallas draws you in emotionally 100%. Be prepared for the best tear inducing book you may ever read. This book gave me the most compassionate view of the lives of people with a condition that has taken lives, and now I know what it is like for the loved ones in my own life who have faced the same situation. This story has opened my eyes to a world many may know and are learning to deal with right now. Please read this book it will inspire you, it will change you and it gives you a glimpse into the lives of people you may love who are struggling with the same condition but you had no idea how they felt.
