"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us." - Marianne Williamson
We live in a world of darkness and shadows,
where monsters hide and aim to ruin.
And they did.
They ruined us and turned our dreams into nightmares.
But now we're back.
And we're fighting.
Not just for us, or for each other, but for our light.
There are so many things I want to say about Jay McLean and this book but I am so not sure I can find the words. I am going to be short and sweet because well I am kinda still in a book hangover from reading More Than Her and More than Him back to back in less than 12hrs. You will need to read More Than Her to read More than Him. MTHim is continuation of Amanda and Logan’s story.
***POSSIBLE SPOILER FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NOT READ MORE THAN HER YET***
MTHim picks up where MTHer left off. Logan is gone. After is birth dad coming back and messing up his life and hurting Amanda…Logan thinks Amanda is better off without him. So Logan picks up and leaves to go work with Doctors Without Borders in Africa. Amanda is heartbroken and mad.
After a year of both living in basic hell and depression….Logan returns but he not the same Logan. He has been broken and you will break with him. After a random meeting between Amanda and Logan….everything flips on its axis for them so what happens now? Can Amanda forgive Logan? Again? Can Logan forgive himself? Can he learn that running does not solve things? And most importantly….will Logan and Amanda get the HEA they so rightfully deserve? You got to read to find out be it so worth it 🙂
I love Logan. All broken, messed up, douchey, beautiful, sweet, sexy and heartwarming part of him. I wanted to slap him and hug him. I just wanted to make everything better for him. If anyone deserved it was him.
Amanda. Oh my poor Amanda. Poor chick took an emotional and sometimes physical beating for two books but she stayed strong. GO AMANDA!! Lol. I will not lie when I say I wanted to hit her a few times because I just wanted her to “get it”. I got it…why couldn’t she? Right? Maybe I am a pushover for the characters I love…probably.
This book…as with all of Jay’s books….will make u laugh, cry, angry, happy and sad but you will love every minute of it. She has a way of weaving a story that breaks your heart but you never want to stop reading. Plus, she is funny. I mean really funny….I think I laughed the same amount I wanted to cry.
You fall in love with her characters…like truly in love. I want to friends with all of them. Jake, Micky, Logan, Amanda, Cam, Lucky, Heidi and Dylan were so brilliantly written that you could not help but fall in love.
