Hidden behind a continuous storm, in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle, there is a secret and powerful place. Element Island’s mysteries are as great as its beauty. Ava Vangeretta’s life changed forever after she arrived on the island; she became the True Elementris.

Now Ava is faced with a new challenge. The powerful gifts protected by those born of the element could be revealed. Temptation gives new life to an old curse, danger draws near, and the lines between friend and enemy are blurred as secrets are revealed. Ava will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves, but can she prevent exposure?

Exposure is the second installment of the Vangretta Curse Series. Ava has accepted her gift as being the embodiment of Mother Nature. It’s her job to keep the elements in balance as well as protect those born of the elements. She is working hard to find her place on Element Island and live up to the expectations. However, the secret of the island and those she is set to protect is threatened with Lyssa Relic begins showing off her power over water. Thomas, one of the Clutch, is sent to protect Lyssa while Ava and the council try to right what she has done.

This book focuses quite a bit on Lyssa, her background, and her struggles. She doesn’t want to expose her secret, but it seems as if everyone is out to manipulate her and push her in the wrong direction. Once Thomas shows up, she finds she has an attraction towards him and wants to change her ways, to do the right thing, but it is too late? To make matters worse, a salvage ship has been lingering closer and closer to the island adding more threat of an exposure!

Well written YA fantasy book. Great descriptive language – I had no problem envisioning the island, the characters, etc.
