A moment can change everything…

Ashton Taylor. Six foot one, Dark hair, chiseled jaw, riveting hazel eyes, and a body cut in all the right places. He’s a natural. Things just come easy to him. He’s used to getting everything he wants, excelling at everything he does. The grades, the recognition, the beautiful women.

His path was set. A girl, a full scholarship to UC San Diego, and a bright future. To others, his life seemed perfect. But, things are never what they seem, and life, well, at any moment, something or someone can come along and turn it upside down.

That something…the death of his father.

That someone… Cara Hayward. The girl with the hypnotic eyes, melodic voice, enchanting smile, and lips sent straight from heaven.

The girl who doesn’t want to be seen.

So what happens when a guy who everything comes easy to, meets a girl who doesn’t come easy?

Can he crawl through all the broken glass to find her? Will the girl he discovers deep down be able to see past his perfect exterior?

Together, do they have the power to heal one another? Or, could the very thing that brings them together, be the one thing that tears them apart?

Ash, oh Mr. Manwhore,  dealing with the grief of losing his dad by sleeping with everything that walks. He has his best friend Jason, a younger sister, Delilah and younger brother, Colt . They all attend the same college so that they could stay close to their mom after their dad died. Ash also has his flavors of the month. He meets sweet, shy Cara in the library. He feels something stir in him when looking in her eyes that he has never felt before but then he proceeds to f*** another girl….classy 🙂 Yes because that’s what I would do (roll eyes). Jason is crushing on Delilah but keeps getting told by Ash to stay away because he will hurt her. ***Shakes Head***Explain that to me since he is Grade A manwhore and his best friend is the nice guy. Jesus, man logic can be so stupid sometimes.

I kind of love Cara and her dedication to turning Ash away. Its fun to watch Ash be put in his place by sweet, shy little Cara. Ash is persistent and soon Cara starts coming around. Things are beautiful between them. They touch each other’s souls in way that no one else ever has. They share their tragic past. They fall in love. Colt ends up getting sick but Cara is there for Ash in every way. She really becomes his rock and it is very sweet to see. Things are starting to get good again when Shelby, Ash’s last flavor the month, enters the picture. You are going to want to cunt punch this one. Yes, cunt punch her hard. Cara ends up dumping Ash not believing she is worthy of him. Thankfully Ash woos her back and we skip ahead 2 years. All I can tell is for those last few chapters tissues might come in handy. I didn’t have any and I was sorta ugly sobbing. It wasn’t pretty at all. This story made me laugh, it made me have hope, it made me believe in the good in people and yes it made me sad because at some point we all have sadness touch our lives.

I recommend you read this book you will not be disappointed in the well rounded story.

Excerpt

She turns so her back is now flush with my chest, her ass pushing against my groin, my hard-on straining against my pants. I gently lift her hair up off her neck, pressing quiet kisses to her shoulders, trailing my tongue along her nape. She whimpers, angling her head and giving me access to her throat. I drag my lips down to her collarbone, licking and sucking until I hear her moan again, goosebumps popping and dancing all over her back. Running my knuckle down the side of her cheek, my fingers continue to move lower to skip along the soft flesh of her arm and I feel her body shiver. I spin her around to face me, needing to see her now.

“You’re so fucking beautiful, you know that?” I breathe against her lips.

She looks up at me, her voice thick with desire. “I want you to touch me, Ash,” she whispers hoarsely. “I want to feel your hands all over me. I’ve never wanted anyone’s hands on me the way I want yours, right now.”

About Beth Michele

I am a wife, a mom, an author, and a lover of all things chocolate, well, anything sweet really. While stuffing chocolate in my face, I enjoy reading young adult and new adult novels furiously, and spending time with my husband and two adorable children who keep me on my peppermint pink painted toes. Those same children who inspire me to tell silly stories that cause hysterical giggles to tumble from their bellies.

I love to laugh and love to have a good cry, especially after reading a novel that stretches my soul, one that makes me feel, and lingers in the corner of my heart.

I’m a hopeless romantic and a happily ever after fanatic, and I love to write about LOVE.

I began writing when I was in middle school, penning anything from short stories, to poetry, and then later moved on to write children’s books. I have now endeavored into New Adult and Contemporary Romance novels and am loving every minute of it. My first novel, Love Love, was released in May, 2013.
