Being the daughter of a big-city mayor, twenty-one year old Skye Summers has giant shoes to fill in her first real job out of college. With the public spotlight on her family, and her dad’s expectations running high, she jumps at the chance to work side-by-side on an important project with her sexy new boss.
Playboy entrepreneur Landon Steele has built a successful entertainment PR firm and broken more than a few hearts along the way. He’s counting on his enthusiastic new assistant to help him expand his business into LA… until he discovers she’s a pampered rich girl who’s in the public spotlight as much as his famous clients. Still, he agrees to give her a chance, and soon the two are heating up the bedroom as well as the boardroom.
But when Skye’s ex-boyfriend threatens to reveal a dangerous secret from her past, her job, relationship with Landon, and her father’s career are suddenly all on the line. Will she be forced to leave Landon? Or will she pursue her heart, regardless of the cost?
*Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This can be read as a standalone*
You ever go into a book completely blind? I knew we had the tour for this book and I had heard through social media, peers and reviews that people really seemed to like her stories. I will be honest in saying I had no idea who she was. No idea what story I was gonna read. I had to read the book at the last minute so I did not even have time to read the synopsis.
Well…I can honestly say that now Ms. Grace can add one more fan to her bunch. I am in love with not only her characters and stories but with the way she writes. Her writing is not dragged out or long winded. She gives you just enough of everything. Enough description, enough heat, enough comedy, enough alpha…just enough and puts it all together into this great story that keeps you thoroughly entertained and keeps you flipping the pages.
Picture Perfect is Skye and Landon story. Now Skye is Ellie’s best friend who you meet in Rumor Has It. I am reading that now and I must say just as good as Picture Perfect. You do not need to read book 1 to read book 2, each is an individual story with character overlap now and then but nothing you would be lost in.
Skye and Landon meet in kinda the nastiest way possible. Like honestly, its really gross and so funny…lol. Skye just finished breaking up with her jerk of an ex the month before. Her friend Katie is tired of her wallowing so she forces her to go out to a club. She is at the bar getting a drink and getting hit on by this a-hole drunk guy. In steps Landon. Hot, smexy **sigh** Landon to save her from said creepy drunk dude. Sparks immediately crackle between them to the point that she does not notice creepy drunk dude just puked on her. Yup….you read that right my lovely readers….he PUKED on her. I nearly died laughing and puked myself imagining that. She runs to the bathroom and tries to cleanup. I mean can you really cleanup after that without a shower??? Ugghh…anyway when she steps out the bathroom, there stands Landon. Now even though she just cleaned some dudes puke off her…he kisses her and please when I say, all things considered, that Ms. Grace still managed to make it hot…it really was still hot…puke and all but then Skye panics and hauls ass. Unfortunately she did not run far enough cause come Monday morning when she steps into her new job to meet her boss that has been away for two weeks on business it is none other than smexy Landon Steele. Let the fun and sexual tension begin….hehe.
So this only the beginning of this fun, sex and very sweet story. I loved Landon beyond words. He was sexy and sweet. Alpha but caring. Everything you would want in great book boyfriend. Skye was strong but vulnerable. She wasn’t whiney and annoying. She really was very genuine character and I loved all the more for it. I will definitely be following Ms. Grace and this series in the future. I am so excited to see what other awesome stories she has up her sleeve for this great series.
