The dramatic conclusion to the Experiment in Terror Series.

Perry Palomino and Dex Foray.

On their own, they’re uniquely brilliant. Together, they’re an unstoppable team.

Until now.

Because after everything the duo has encountered, they haven’t come across an evil quite like this. An evil that has been years in the making, an evil that will stop at nothing until they, and everyone they care for, are destroyed.

Dex and Perry’s love has survived a multitude of sins.

But can it survive the end?

“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.”

“I love you absolutely, resolutely. There is no question, no doubt. This love just is. It exists and because it exists, I exist.”

Writing this review is so bittersweet. Who knew that when I picked up Darkhouse just a little over a year ago that I would fall completely in love with this series and characters. Dust To Dust was the most terrifying, emotional, and amazing conclusion to such a fantastic series. Things came full circle in this book, every puzzle piece came into place, and there were so many questions answered.

“I felt horror take over me. This was panic. This was desperation and it had its claws in me.

Dust To Dust took Dex and Perry back to Dex’s beginning. They had faced so many dangers in the past but what they faced this time around was the most dangerous of them all. Without saying much, because I wouldn’t want to ruin it for anyone, things and people weren’t what they seemed. The darkness in Dex and Perry’s lives didn’t just affect them but those closest to them. Dex, Perry, Ada, and Maximums all played important roles in this book.

“I wouldn’t have become the person I was without him.”

As characters both Dex and Perry had grown so much. Perry was no longer that same insecure girl. She was getting stronger, more determined, and one thing that she held dear to was her love for Dex.  Dex wasn’t the same selfish man, he matured and changed and he was willing to sacrifice whatever he could to protect Perry. “Dust To Dust” had me constantly on edge.  There were so many insane moments and at times I wanted to toss my kindle across the room.

“We had gone through so f*cking much together, cheated death a million times, dying wasn’t a possibility.”

“I would go through hell for him again and again.”

Karina wrote an amazing story that tugged at all my emotions. I was scared one minute, laughing the next, and I definitely cried more than once. There was sacrifice, loss, healing and understanding, and I really couldn’t ask for more from this story. I didn’t want it to end but this book was truly a great conclusion to the series.

So to the madness that brought the light, to mustache rides, Fat Rabbit, ro Twatwaffle and Douchecanoes, to dancing to music,  Jack Daniels, to eating pie, to Pippa, and from Darkhouse to Dust To Dust and all the scary adventures in between. Thank you for this awesome series. #TeamDerry.
