Two strangers in Paris ...
One passionate, earth-shattering kiss.
He was the artist upstairs
with the tantalizing smile and laughing eyes.
He was the devil inviting me to sin,
seducing me to dance in the bright moonlight.
He was desire and need.
When he touched me, my body sang--
my soul came alive.
But I belonged to another man,
and he didn't want to let me go.
Mia Asher is my go to author. I would read anything she handed me. Her words in Love Me In The Dark are like reading a story in poetry. She pulls you in and you to travel Paris along with Valentina. I was warned this was not a usual Mia Asher book. Yes, it did not carry her usual angst but that did not take away from a very well written beautiful story.
“He’s the King of the Underworld showing you how magnificent, how exquisite it would be to sin with him.”
He was lonely man trying to live again years after losing his whole world. You could feel his attempt to fill the void in his life thru his paintings.
Don’t let Mia fool you she did throw in a few crazy twists to keep us on our toes. It had all her signature on it even as a more romantic story.
Is a lonely housewife that has sacrificed all her dreams to be the perfect spouse. She soon finds out that her husband hasn’t been quite the perfect husband. Both Valentina and Sèbastien over come darkness in their lives to find themselves again.
“Restraint gone, he shoots us into the stars until we reach the heavens and beyond. And when we fall and crash , we are reborn on the sheets of this bed.”
