DAX ANDERSON has always been the one to keep it all together.

~ His family~
~ His friends~
~ His band~

His heart is huge, but guarded. He’s the best friend. The protector. The shoulder to cry on. But he’s never been able to protect his own heart or himself. Lies from his not-so-distant past have destroyed his outlook on love - until he meets her.

GISELLE ANDREWS is confident and happy, but guarded. She’s learned to overcome many obstacles despite her past. She’s fiercely loyal and loves beyond measure. When she’s reminded of her past and the pain that she lived through, will her perfect world begin to crumble?

What connects Dax and Giselle?
And will EPIC LIES destroy their future?

EPIC LIES is the second book in the EPIC FAIL series and can be read as a standalone novel.

This series is a spinoff of the FOREVER FAMILY series.

Is bad that I am waiting for a book by Trudy Stiles that I just don’t like? I mean it has yet to happen but I feel like her and I live in perpetual “honeymoon” phase…haha. But then I have remind myself that we may just be cool like that because Trudy is cool. She puts her all and some extra in her books and that’s what makes me love them. Epic Lies was no exception.

DAX ANDERSON is Epic Fails drummer. He lives to protect the ones he cares about. He keeps his feelings close to his chest with only Alex, his brother through love, knowing his hurt. He went through a very traumatic experience as a teenager and it has changed him forever. He falls hard and sometimes too fast but the one thing he cannot deal with, at all, is LIES.

GISELLE ANDREWS is the sweet, loyal and happy girl looking to start her life. She too has had some traumatic experiences change and mold her as a person. Her meeting with Dax is purely coincidental or more likely fate.

On the highway on her way to start her life, she ends up in a horrible, unexpected storm but as fate would have it, she was exactly where she needed be. Dax is out on his new motorcycle when an unexpected storm hits. Trying to take cover is impossible but a sweet beautiful girl takes pity on him and gives him shelter in her car.

Well it was best thing that ever happened since not a few minutes later, a fire truck comes down the shoulder and totals his bike. The bike he was supposed to be on had it not been for his beautiful stranger.

I really loved the way this story played out and how Dax and Giselle were destined to be together. Normally Trudy’s stories play out with her leaving this secret nugget you find out about later. I love that nugget.

Epic Lies does not play out that way. You know the secret before the characters and so you get to spend the story rooting for them to figure it out. For them to see they were meant to be. I did not think I would enjoy it as much I did.

Dax and Giselle are a hard set of characters not to fall and root for. Dax is not your typical rock star. He is enjoying his fame but he has heart. You know it from the beginning. I love his and Alex’s relationship. It is built on love and they are more brothers than friends. That makes my heart turn to mush.

I loved seeing my hunks from Epic fail come together again and find love plus I got updates from some of my other faves. As usual, Trudy does her little character pop ups from earlier books. They always make me smile.

Another win from Trudy for me. I am so excited for book 3, Epic Love.
