After years of bad relationships and a cheating ex-fiancé, twenty-eight-year-old Mia Martinelli prefers healing her patients’ hearts on the Cardiac Care floor rather than risking having her heart broken again. But that all comes to a screeching halt when caring for the head roadie for Runaway Train puts her into the orbit of drummer and Latin Lover, AJ Resendiz. After a scorching weekend of steamy passion, Mia’s intention of getting out with her heart unscathed is challenged by the stud with the wicked sense of humor, especially when he wants to continue seeing her. But when the harsh reality of AJ’s hoard of female admirers sends her insecurities into overdrive, Mia bails, leaving him handcuffed to his bathroom shower.

AJ never imagined that after two weeks of the best sex and female companionship he’d ever experienced, he would need rescued by his band mates from his shower prison. Although he tries to forget the sensual brunette whose curves made his mouth water, AJ can’t get her out of his mind…or his heart. Months later when he finally seeks Mia for answers as to why she left, nothing could prepare him for their life-altering reunion.

Can AJ prove to Mia that regardless of the women after his body, his heart belongs only to her?

Mari’s Review

I have been waiting for AJ’s book for what seems like forever even though it’s only been a couple of months.  Mia ,the cardiac nurse who catches AJ’s eye, is a strange character literally.  I love her gay best friend and coworker Dee who gives her some balance.  She comes off a little neurotic at times and while I normally want to physically harm these type of characters, Katie’s writes it in such a way that I end up liking Mia. I find myself feeling bad for her and the things she has been through in her past. I start to understand why she is neurotic.

The comes AJ, oh my Latin lover ****insert sigh here*** hehe.  Now before I go on, can I just say to authors out there we need more hot Hispanic male leads in our books?  Nothing is hotter than a Hispanic man who is sexy, funny, charming and a whole lot of dominate in the bedroom.  The fact AJ is almost the chick in the relationship had me laughing so hard.  Between him being Hispanic and Mia being Italian this is one explosive relationship in and out of the bedroom.  Their families are these awesome close knit families that you can’t help but want to be a part of.  I want to have hot limo sex with AJ, well actually I just want to have any kind of  hot sex with AJ.

Why are my book boyfriends always so hot that I am willing to do things I know I would not do in real life?  Is it because I don’t have to pick up after them, cook for them? Talk to them for real….lmao.  Yep it’s the pure fantasy that makes it hot…reality would probably disappoint.  Okay back on topic 🙂  Katie did it again and wrote great book that is a must read. Thank you Katie for giving me AJ and his story with Mia. It did not disappoint.  Everyone should one click this book today….
