How tragic it is when a caged spirit finally finds its freedom and — entranced in its ecstasy — is invited by that freedom into a cloaked dance with danger. In Book One of this three-part epic, Kate Simmons — young and alluring, and finally out of her cage of grief — attracts more than attention. Intoxicated by her newfound independence, a blithe Kate is on her way to finding out that around the corners of life, some life-changing eye-openers await. As the story continues in Book Two and she begins to churn a dangerously turbulent trail, it is Kate who now has to snap to, to react, to outrun, or become yet another tortured victim who vanishes down the path of wrong choice.
Having already roiled the risky waters of jealousy, Kate moves in with Neil while Roger — an enamored oddity — visits his son in Germany. Upon his return and finding Kate gone, Roger’s predator mind becomes unhitched, and then unleashed, on the hunt of a lifetime. But whose life?
Step by creeping step, even as Kate’s future closes in on her, she attends — obliviously — to her new life, working through the challenges of fresh relationships, losing family members both to death and to deceit, questioning the depth of love.
Every path offers a choice. Every choice offers a consequence. And every consequence summons its due. As emotions swirl across fateful days and nights, some in Kate’s life will reach out to touch happiness in warm embraces, others to sever ties in bloody traces. The stains of passion are frequently mistaken. The question here is who will be taken?

If you believe your life is the sum total of your choices, what do you do when things don’t add up? You’re about to find out. It won’t be pretty. In fact, one wrong choice could put evil at your bedside watching you sleep.
So it is with Kate Simmons, a young woman who, by choosing to regain her life, actually risks it by the choices she makes. After unimaginable heartbreak stops her world, Kate falls into a three-year blackness of self-blame and loathing. As time brings light back through tiny cracks of renewed desire, Kate moves out her self-imposed prison to find a new reality, rooming with her best girlfriend, Charlie. Yet, to be free is to be vulnerable, and Kate’s choices more than ever mark a splattered line between being happy and being dead.Care to choose? Here’s your menu: A strangely alluring building manager so possessed with wanting you, he’ll bury more than the fact he has a girlfriend; a buff college student who garners all the attention of the co-eds; a pushy lawyer who is as handsome as he is intoxicated with conquest, who doesn’t take no for an answer, getting what he wants — always.
Sometimes, it’s whom you choose. Sometimes, it’s who chooses you. If you’re Kate, it’s both, and it puts you on a perilous road where good looks and humor are the thin masks of jealous delusion and utter violence.
You’re in trouble when the sum total of your choices is written in blood red.
Taken By You…
Warning: I will cuss a lot in this review ..why? Because crazy stalker dude freaked me the fuck out 🙂 I don’t get freaked out easily but since reading this book I have learned my house has, 30 windows and 5 doors. That is just way too much open area for a creepy stalker dude to attack me…I would rather take my chances with Chucky or something.
He’s Baaaaaaaaaack! Creepy stalker is back from Germany as we saw in the end of book 1. Book 2 picks right up where the last ended. Roger is just as creepy and on his first night back he meets a new Rose and begins seeing her. We also find out that his ex and son are moving back to the states. He is still obsessed with Kate. Nothing has changed in the month he was overseas.
Kate and Neil are still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. Kate is dealt a blow when a family member unexpectedly dies and this causes a few bumps in the road for her and Neil. Neil kept something very important from her but he mans up and goes and fights for his girl. You go Neil!
Mitch and Charlie still going strong. Natalie and Mac from the first book are brought together but only time will tell if something develops between them. Neil sends Kate on a treasure hunt with her now ever present bodyguard and she is enjoying herself despite the turmoil in her life. Then creepy stalker finds her and the bodyguard, when Kate realizes something isn’t right it’s too late. She turns around and comes face to face with Roger…and yes we are left hanging there for book 3 to be released….uggghhh…haha.
Overall this series in captivating and intriguing. I found myself hooked after the initial “BAM” of creepy stalker dude. Yes…that is how I refer to Roger 🙂 It has gotten to the point that even my family knows all about him. I talked about him a lot as I read cause people needed to understand the messed up shit that happened in this book. I spent the majority of the book asking him, “Delusional much asshole”, “Fucking douchebag” and “Creep”. That’s just some of the conversations I had with the book character. I loved how Kate, while not superwoman, is not a stupid and whiny character. I like that she shows appropriate fears in her situation without being over the top and tries hard not to let it upset her life. Now I am patiently (okay not really because that is not one of my virtues) going ot wait for book 3 so I can find out what happens next….. I highly recommend this series.
Fallen For You Review (May Contain Spoilers)…
Roger aka Creepy stalker Dude(CSD) is introduced at the beginning of the book and from the start you can tell something is a little strange with him. He is “in love” with a voice and cant wait to meet said voice.
Kate, the beautiful voice, and her best friend Charlie move into an apartment together that is managed by Roger aka CSD. I’m telling you that from the first chapter you to know he is fucked up in the head. The girls think he seems like a nice guy, sign a lease and move in. (Enter me, yelling at Kindle, saying “NOO!! Don’t do it!”)
Meet Neil, a lawyer, and Mark, a student. Both encounter Kate and fall into lust with her beauty. SOOOO…we now have the makings for a huge shit storm. Oh yes and let’s not forget, Rose. Roger’s oblivious girlfriend. Can you tell something crazy is going on? So glad you are still with me 🙂
As the story unfolds we see that Kate is suffered a tragedy that has put her off relationships with men but upon meeting Mark and Neil her thinking begins to change. She gives both of them a chance but Neil ends up winning the “Kate lotto” Mark may be the loser but he is not gone just yet. He turns out to be their waiter one night on a date and tries desperately to convince Kate to give him a chance even telling her Neil is a player. It makes no difference to Kate. Her and Neil have bonded and have started a relationship built on full disclosure of both of their pasts.
Meanwhile Roger is getting creepier and more obsessed with Kate. Thankfully Kate isn’t stupid, picks up on it and tells people. It was a nice change for a book herione to not play stupid and not “bothering” loved ones. Kate is a smart bitch. Roger just keeps giving me the creeps and I want to fucking choke him by this point.
At the end of this story, Roger is off to Germany to visit his son for a month and Kate and Charlie move out. Roger returns and creeps into Kate’s apartment only to be angered to find it empty….
