Gwen has had a hard life with many difficult circumstances that have made her a hard woman, who sometimes makes decisions others don't understand. Thankfully McKayla is in her life to help keep her grounded and is the woman who helps her keep her head when all else seems lost.

Then one day, a man comes into Gwen's life that makes things take an unexpected twist and makes her face the demons of her past. Will this man help Gwen become a stronger woman or will it break her completely?

Here’s the story…
Of a lovely lady…
Who was doing what she had to to get by…

Gwen has survived the worst things that could ever happen to a woman. To deal with the demons of her past, she’s taken a job as an escort. (I didn’t quite understand that at first either, but she explains…) She got her GED in her 20s & is now going to school for fashion design.

Here’s the story…
Of another lovely lady…
She’s the best & if I were into chicks I’d totally want to do her…

McKayla is Gwen’s hot-ass stripper girlfriend, who strips to deal with the demons of her past. She is the most selfless person in this this entire book. She’s giving & loving & always seems to put Gwen first. She & Gwen were friends for a very long time before they became more. I kind of felt bad for her, but she takes everything in stride.

Here’s the story…
Of a man who’s kind of shady…
Yet he’ll make you hot between your thighs…

Cole is the guy Gwen sees on the train. He has beautiful green eyes. He’s extremely sexy & a mystery. Oh, & he saves her from completely face-planting. No idea what he does at first. He’s just mainly the hot guy on the train. (I want to say more, but I know how people hate spoilers.)

Then one day the lady met this fellow…
& then brought him home to meet the other lady…
& they knew it was much more than a fluke.
& the dude & the other lady would have to get along.
& that’s the way they became whatever the fuck they are.
Whatever the fuck they are.
& that’s how they became whatever the fuck they are!

I loved the 3 of them together. Hey, I gotta get my kicks somewhere. πŸ˜‰ It takes massive balls & trust. Me? I’ve never been a good sharer. There was a cliffhanger, so I’m not sure what happens with their 3-some/triangle/lucky girl relationship (& you know that’s driving me crazy!).

I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. I read other reviews about the roller coaster & the darker side, & I thought, “Oh shit. What the hell did I get myself into? I’m going to be depressed for days!” No, it wasn’t like that. Yes, the past is mentioned several times & we get a deeper look into it, but Gwen is strong. She’s a survivor. Hell, so is McKayla.

There were some misspellings & grammatical errors that took me out of the story a little, but that didn’t kill it for me. You wanna know what got to me? That cliffhanger. But that’s personal preference. I’m an instant gratification sort of girl (no comments), so not knowing how something ends drives me insane! At least I think it’s a cliffhanger. It said “The End”, but it was in the middle of something, so I’m guessing there will be another book.

It was a good story & I enjoyed it. Plus there were a few scenes that were pretty steamy. So I’m going to give this book 4 stars, & a small shake of my fist for not giving me my instant gratification. πŸ˜‰

*Oh, you must read those few verses to the tune of the Brady Bunch theme song. If you don’t know that that is, there’s something wrong with you. Or you’re just a baby, & trying to make me feel old. And that’s just not very nice of you. πŸ™‚
