From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes the second sizzling stand-alone novel in the Dive Bar series!
When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.
Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.
When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.
I always forget how much I enjoy Kylie’s writing. She is funny and endearing in her writing, Joe and Alex were no exception. Joe is big, sexy, people pleaser. Unable to say ‘no’ to anyone in his family or circle of friends, he feels like he lives in everyone’s shadow. He finds some solace in his emails with Alex and never thought she would show up in Coeur d’Alene.
Alex is scared of everything. She a graphic designer that rarely leaves her house and has just her best friend, Val, by her side. When she takes the leap and decides to surprise “Eric” in CdL, everything does not go as she plans. When she finds out “Eric” is really Joe all she wants to do is run. Something she has perfected. But what if she didn’t? What if she finally stayed around and starts saying ‘yes’ instead of hiding in her own bubble?
I really enjoyed watching these to grow and get to know each other. They were sexy, funny and just really sweet to watch. They really were perfect for each other even though at first they totally did not think so. I like that each pushed the other to get out their bad habits. Joe never made her feel like she was crazy. Alex never made him feel like a pushover. I also really enjoyed touching base with the other characters at The Dive Bar. I am excited to see where Chaser takes our crew. I am not completely sure if I loved Twist as much as Dirty but I do enjoy Kylie’s writing and characters so I will continue reading.
