I lost her.
I thought she was the love of my life.
She was everything I needed. Everything I wanted.
She made me forget about my past. My family.
She made me feel real.
Can I find someone else?
It’s time to pick up the pieces and move on.
But can I?
I’m Seth Tyson and this is my story.
I deserve a happily ever after, don’t I?
Dear Juliet is the third and final installment of the Forever Family Series. Now, Dear Juliet can be read as standalone but I would strongly suggest that you read Dear Emily and Dear Tabitha to get the full effect of Seth’s story.
Trudy’s writing is always heartfelt, thought-provoking ride on your emotional rollercoaster. I love every second of it. Seth’s story was one I was looking forward too beyond words. He had been through so much with Tabitha that it seemed only fair that he get some happiness too. Little did I know that what he had been through in the previous two books was only a part of a larger whole. A whole I totally did not see coming.
Juliet and Seth are grade school friends that has spanned through the years. Through happiness and loss. Juliet is the character that parallels the theme of this series since she is the one that was adopted as a baby. She is adopted by a loving couple who put her above all else. She could not have been luckier in that respect but it does mean her adoption story was easy. I can only imagine what it must feel liked to be loved by two people who chose you but still feel like this part of you is missing. Seth becomes her shoulder to cry on as Juliet struggles. As she becomes his. While Juliet has two parents any child would be jealous of, Seth struggles to get any attention in his. His father spends for more time at work and with his mistresses than his children. His mother tries to hide her pain behind alcohol and pills. So what starts as a teachers assignment to get out behind a keyboard turns into lasting friendship built behind the security of an email box.
Juliet and Seth’s story is not easy but it is real and heartfelt. An emotional right-hook that will keep you reading until the very last page. I felt every loss and achievement they did, and I wanted to go through my Kindle more than once to hug them. That is the normal thing for me with Trudy books. For all you Forever Family series fans like myself, you are in for one hell of ride. Trudy really did a full circle. She closes up the series on high note that couldn’t have been better if I had thought it up myself. Dear Juliet has to be one of the best series conclusions I have ever read. She solidified her spot as one of my favorite authors and I am excited to see where she plans on taking the spin-off series.
